Poshmark is a social resale marketplace for buying and selling secondhand fashion and lifestyle goods. It is particularly good for individuals who want an established audience and guided fulfillment instead of running a standalone shop.
Poshmark is strongest when an item has a recognizable brand, clear size, and enough resale value for shipping and commission. Buyers often expect negotiation, and sellers who stay active tend to get more visibility. Casual closet clean-outs are easy to start, but running a large closet involves repetitive promotion and messages.
There is no subscription or charge to publish a listing. In the United States, Poshmark keeps $2.95 from sales below $15 and 20% from sales of $15 or more. The rate is predictable, though it takes a noticeable bite from premium items and leaves little margin on inexpensive ones.
When something sells, Poshmark supplies a prepaid mailing label. Funds remain pending until the buyer accepts delivery or the order completes automatically. Eligible high-value luxury purchases can pass through Posh Authenticate, while other return and condition disputes go through Posh Protect instead of direct payment handling.
