The short version
AltDora sells advertising: labeled sponsored slots on category and alternatives pages, and enhanced listings for tools that want a fuller page. Every paid placement is visibly labeled, sits outside the ranked list, and has no effect on which tools we list, how we order them, or what we say about them. The order of a list is never for sale. This page lists every way money enters the company and every way it's firewalled from editorial decisions — details of the packages live on the sponsorship page, and our list-building process on how we rank.
What we sell
- Sponsored slots — a labeled card above the list on a specific category or alternatives page. A maximum of three sponsors per page, always outside the ranked list itself.
- Enhanced listings — a vendor pays to maintain a fuller version of their own product page. The copy they supply is reviewed by us before it goes live, and the listing's position in any list does not change.
- Newsletter placements — a single labeled sponsor per issue, when we send one.
We do not currently use affiliate links. If we ever add them, they will follow the same rules as everything above: disclosed on this page, labeled where they appear, and carrying rel="sponsored".
How paid placements appear
The word "Sponsored" appears next to every paid placement, in readable text at readable size — not in a footnote, not in unreadable grey. Sponsored cards are visually separated from the ranked list and rendered outside it in the page's markup, and a sponsored tool is removed from the ranked list on that page so it never appears to hold both a paid and an earned position.
What money never buys
- A position, score or mention in any ranked list
- Inclusion on a list a tool wouldn't otherwise earn — or removal of a competitor
- Removal or softening of a drawback, a con or a moderated user comment
- Changes to what a write-up says — if a sponsor has a real weakness, it stays on the page
- Vendor-written articles, paid guest posts or advertorials, labeled or not
- Advance notice of unpublished list changes
Paid links and search engines
Every link in a sponsored slot, enhanced listing or newsletter placement carries rel="sponsored", following Google's guidance on qualifying paid outbound links. Paid links on AltDora are for readers to click, not a way to buy search rankings — that protects your site as much as ours.
What we refuse
A slot is only sold for a tool that genuinely belongs on the page it appears on — off-topic placements get declined, whatever the budget. We don't sell to adult content, gambling, crypto speculation, multi-level marketing, data scraping tools, or anything we wouldn't recommend to a reader.
Corrections & contact
Advertisers: use the contact form and we'll reply within one business day. Readers: if a placement looks mislabeled, or a list looks bought, tell us the same way — we investigate every report and correct mistakes prominently. Our independence is the entire product; we have more to lose than you do.
