Acceptance of these terms
By accessing AltDora — the website, its subdomains and any services we offer through them — you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don’t agree, the only remedy is simple: don’t use the service. If you’re using AltDora on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind that company to these terms.
What AltDora is (and isn’t)
AltDora is an independent alternatives discovery platform. We publish independently curated lists, tool profiles and community discussions to help you find alternatives to software, websites, apps, games and AI tools.
Our content reflects editorial curation alongside community comments and votes — it is not professional, legal or procurement advice. Tools change faster than any publication can track; always verify pricing and features with the vendor before committing budget.
Your account
You need an account to save tools, vote and comment. You’re responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, manipulate votes or post fraudulent comments.
Acceptable use
Use AltDora like a good citizen of the internet. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl or bulk-download our content without written permission
- Post comments about products you haven’t genuinely used, or in exchange for compensation
- Attempt to manipulate rankings, votes or ratings by any means
- Upload malware, spam or content that infringes anyone’s rights
- Impersonate another person, vendor or AltDora staff
Content ownership
Everything we publish — rankings, editorial text, the ranking methodology, design — belongs to AltDora. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link.
Comments you submit remain yours, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for clarity and display them alongside your chosen display name.
Liability
AltDora is provided “as is”. We moderate carefully, but we can’t guarantee that every fact stays accurate after publication or that a tool we recommend will fit your needs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, for free accounts, is zero.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms when the service changes. Material changes are announced by email and a site notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
