Map business processes
Document ownership, steps, controls, and improvement opportunities
Operations and IT teams reach for Nintex when approval-heavy processes need to move beyond email and spreadsheets without becoming a full custom-development project.
Nintex covers more of the process lifecycle than a basic flow builder. Teams can document work in Process Manager, collect data through forms, route approvals, generate documents, and add robotic automation where an API is unavailable.
It makes the most sense in larger organizations with repeatable, cross-department processes and people assigned to govern automation. The visual designers let trained business users build useful flows, but complex expressions, permissions, and deployment between environments still need technical care. SharePoint-heavy companies get particular value from its history in that ecosystem.
Nintex is paid enterprise software rather than a self-serve freemium tool. Contracts are usually quoted around selected products, automation volume, user counts, and deployment. Trials may be offered, but there is no permanent free production tier.
