Dashlane is a browser-first password manager for storing and using credentials across devices. It is particularly good at guiding people away from weak, reused passwords without making the vault feel technical.
Dashlane now works mainly through its web app and browser extension, with dedicated mobile apps for Android and iOS. The vault handles passwords, passkeys, secure notes, payment details and personal information. Its interface is approachable, though people wanting a traditional desktop application may find the browser-first model limiting.
Personal plans are sold as annual subscriptions, with separate Premium and Friends & Family options. Business tiers add centralized policy controls, account recovery, provisioning and reporting. Some consumer plans bundle a Hotspot Shield VPN, which runs outside Dashlane rather than inside the vault.
